Private sector support

New screening guidelines for cancer are to be rolled out shortly. This was revealed by Chief Medical Officer Dr The Most Honourable Kenneth George at a ride, run, and walk event organised by the Ministry of Health, the Diabetes Foundation, and the Diabetes and Hypertension Association. He says the initiative will help the ministry to diagnose cancers in Barbadians earlier. Meanwhile, Minister in the Ministry of Health Davidson Ishmael, has once again spoken about the importance of the private sector in the fight against non-communicable diseases. He says it plays a major role in providing financial resources and skills.
