Probe into loss of fire truck reveals breach in protocol

A probe into the loss of a fire tender which was being used to fight a blaze in a cane field at Locust Hall, St George, has revealed a breach in protocol. This finding was disclosed by Minister of Home Affairs and Information Wilfred Abrahams. He was speaking to members of the media during the inspection of three new fire tenders at the Bridgetown Port. Meanwhile, Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard says the Fire Service is now awaiting a settlement from the insurance and the officer who was injured during the incident is doing well.
