Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume has hit out at the Albanese government as productivity has “gone backwards” by 5.8 per cent in the last two years. The federal government industrial relations reforms are now in effect. From Monday, employees can refuse to respond to their bosses outside of work hours as part of the new ‘right to disconnect’. “Productivity has gone backwards,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia. “It has gone backwards by 5.8 per cent just in the last two years alone. “We’d be kidding ourselves if we didn’t think the new industrial relations reforms that have been brought in by the Albanese government weren’t a part of that.”
