23/10/24
Dans Afrique / Ouganda

Two distinguished professors including Fredrick Ssempebwa and Agasha Mugasha have tipped the Parliamentary Committee on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs to consider maintaining the Law Reform Commission contrary to a proposal to abolish the commission. The law dons assert that abolishing the Law Reform Commission will see the country losing the expert touch and the autonomy of its functions. This move to abolish the Law Reform Commission is part of the on-going Rationalization of Government Agencies exercise being handled by Parliament.
