‘Prolonged nature’ of the Ukraine war impacting the ‘development and growth’ of children

World Vision Australia CEO Daniel Wordsworth discusses how kids in Ukraine are being impacted by the war in the wake of a Russian attack which damaged a children’s hospital in Kyiv, killing dozens. “When a war like this drags on, the impact on children just keeps growing exponentially and, so, they can’t even be safe in a hospital now,” he told Sky News Australia. “It’s the prolonged nature of the conflict, the constant anxiety, and fear that they have that has the impact on their development and their growth. “This is just the latest impact on kids in their country.”
