Prominent AI scientist Max Tegmark explains why AI companies should be regulated

The Future of Life Institute recently released its AI Safety Index, an evaluation of leading AI companies across categories including risk, governance, and transparency. Max Tegmark, FLI president and MIT professor, says the scorecard is inspired by the U.S. News and World Report College Rankings, and designed to encourage AI companies to "do better."
