Promoting local arts - ULS President calls for legislation to support the artists

The Uganda Law Society President Isaac Ssemakadde has pledged to advocate for the establishment of laws and the enhancement of regulations concerning arts in Uganda. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive framework to ensure that local arts flourish more than those influenced by foreign inputs. Ssemakadde made the remarks while officiating at the opening of the “Human Rights Are Universal Arts Festival” taking place in Kamwokya from 9th – 19 Oct 2024.
