Public caning takes place in Terengganu under Syariah law despite objections

A Malaysian man was caned inside a mosque in the northeastern state of Terengganu for the Islamic crime of close proximity or "khalwat" with a non-family member of the opposite sex. The sentence and its execution have triggered huge debates in the multi-racial and multi-religious country. CNA's Melissa Goh tells us more.
