Public encouraged to visit Emancipation Village

As Barbados continues to observe the Season of Emancipation, more people are being encouraged to visit and support the Kilombo Emancipation Village in Haggatt Hall. It opened on May 31 and will continue until August 17, with a range of events including cultural presentations, sporting competitions, craft displays and food. The call has come from the site's Manager, Kelvin Carvalho. Meanwhile Pan Africanist Wayne Onkphra Wells explains there are plans to get school children involved to show them the educational aspects of the village.
