Public inquiry opens for woman killed by Russian nerve agent in Wiltshire

A public inquiry into the killing of a British woman with a Russian nerve agent has heard the bottle containing the poison held enough doses to kill thousands of people. Dawn Sturgess died after spraying what she thought was perfume onto her skin in Amesbury in Wiltshire in 2018. It followed the attempted murder of former spy Sergei Skripal, his daughter Yulia and then police officer Nick Bailey, who were poisoned in nearby Salisbury in March that year.
