Publishing industry - Ugandan publishers want more financial support from government.

Publishers want government to increase on the budget allocations through the ministry of education in order for them to print more text books and reading materials for education institutions. In the 2024-2025 budget, government has allocated 4.9 billion to the ministry of education to support publishers, a figure they say is too minimal to make meaningful impact towards the education sector especially primary schools.
