Punished with push-ups: Ex-cop claims 'public humiliation' was cover-up for Jee Ick Joo sl
Two dismissed cops who were publicly punished by former national police chief Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa faced a House panel Tuesday (November 19) to share their account of the 2017 robbery-extortion case involving Korean nationals in Pampanga. Jayson Ibe and Richard Agapito were among the former police officers who attended the hearing of the House Committee on Public Order and Safety, which is investigating issues concerning PNP personnel affected during the Duterte administration's drug war. Aside from calling out their former boss for "public humiliation," Ibe alleged that dela Rosa deliberately "sensationalized" their case to draw attention away from the killing of a South Korean businessman, Jee Ick Joo, inside the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame in 2017.
