The disability fraternity, united as the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda, has expressed disagreement with the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) census data regarding persons with disabilities. The 2014 population and housing census report recorded this population at 12.4%, while the Uganda Functional Difficulties Survey report of 2017 estimated it at 16.5%. However, the 2024 report released by UBOS suggests a population of just 5.7%. They are now calling for an urgent review of this data, as it will negatively impact future planning for programs benefiting this community. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
