Q in the Community celebrates ahead of Independence Day
Barbadians from all walks of life painted Bridgetown ultramarine, gold and black ahead of the island's 58th year as an independent nation and third year as a Republic. Pelican Island was transformed into a spectacle for the event. The Barbados Lottery sponsored this week's event, and Trade Marketing Coordinator Nicolette Regis says they are always happy to partner with entities for the betterment of the community. The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation's Marketing Specialist Nicole Collins says as the community's biggest event winds down to a close for this year on December 19, the Q family will have something to look forward to. She says 2025 is already shaping up to be promising year in terms of bookings for Q in the Community. The Q Togetherness Group, which started frequenting the weekly activity about 15 years ago, is looking forward to doing the same come Saturday for the big Independence celebrations.
