Qatar's ruler given 'ultimate gift' of UK state visit - but questions remain over hum

The Prince and Princess of Wales greeted the Emir of Qatar and his wife in private, before an official welcome by the King at Horse Guard's parade, which the Queen was unable to attend due to the "lingering side effects" of a recent chest infection.
