QLD rescue helicopters will go offline for several shifts later this month

Ongoing pilot shortages in Queensland will leave government rescue helicopters offline for several shifts later this month. Archerfield, Cairns and Townsville bases are expected to bear the brunt as pilot availability is impacted by leave training, maintenance and fatigue management. Pilots are also leaving for better-paying jobs.
