Queen Elizabeth II lauded Donald Trump’s family as “gracious” and “wonderful guests”

The late Queen Elizabeth II reportedly found former US president Donald Trump and his family “gracious” and “wonderful guests”. An ex-Buckingham Palace employee revealed the Queen’s feelings about the Trump family to the New York Post. The ex-palace employee’s comments contradict what author Craig Brown wrote in his upcoming biography A Voyage Around the Queen. In the upcoming biography, Brown alleges the late Queen told her staff she was annoyed by former president Trump’s behaviour. Queen Elizabeth allegedly “particularly disliked” how Trump would gaze over the former Monarch's shoulder. The former aide with close knowledge of the Queen’s views denied Brown’s allegations, saying “I know this to be untrue”. “I spoke to the queen subsequently after the State visit and other members of the royal household, and she told me she found them [the Trumps] to be really gracious and wonderful guests to have in the palace,” they said.
