Queensland's worst domestic violence perpetrators would be forced to wear GPS ankle monitors under a LNP government. Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has announced an $18 million crime prevention plan which would see 500 devices fitted. Surveillance officers would monitor the devices from a central hub and could alert police if offenders breach conditions. The commitment came after the leader's debate on Thursday - when Mr Crisafulli declared he would step down if he failed to reduce crime victim numbers once elected. The state's police union president is calling on the Coalition to reveal a funding plan for the proposal.
