"I started to vomit blood": N.B. man calls for change after ER nightmare

A Fredericton-area man is speaking out after an ER nightmare where he sat in pain for nearly 10 hours in the waiting room until he began vomiting blood, and took matters into his own hands. “I just couldn’t hack the pain anymore and I didn’t know what to do. And they said, ‘There’s nothing we can do. You’re just going to have to wait your turn,'” Tim Kennedy said. He and his wife made the hour-long drive to another hospital where he was treated within an hour and spent several days in hospital. It turned out he had a perforated bowel. “If it had ruptured, I could have died.
