"Necessary": World reacts to Biden letting Ukraine use US long-range missiles
U.S. President Joe Biden's decision on Sunday to reverse its policy in Ukraine and allow for the use of long-range missiles was met with a variety of reactions on Monday. Polish President Andrzej Duda called it "necessary," saying "Ukraine should have the means to defend itself effectively... Russians are inviting their allies to join them in this war. For example, North Korean soldiers are reportedly involved, which fundamentally changes the situation on the front." Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico said that it "is an unprecedented escalation of tensions, a decision that thwarts hopes for the start of any peace talks and an end to the mutual killing of Slavs in Ukraine." Meanwhile, on the streets of Moscow, many residents say they were angered and anxious about decision. "It's very sensitive, a very questionable step," Diana, 23, said. Yevgeniy opined: "I don't think he (Biden) has much time left in this world. He decided to drag everyone with him so that he wouldn't be bored there. What else is there to think?"
