South Korean protesters in support of and against impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol braved the biting cold as they camped near the embattled leader's residence in Seoul, where temperatures hit below minus 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday. "Even though it's cold weather, they have to come out and show their support or their worry, against what the situation is going on now. I think we're that desperate," said pro-Yoon supporter Auh Yu-jin. Meanwhile, anti-Yoon protester Jung Young-kook said, "If Yoon Suk-yeol were to be arrested and detained, this level of cold would be something we could easily endure." Yoon, suspended from duties after his short-lived imposition of martial law on Dec. 3 and under criminal investigation for possible insurrection, has for weeks been holed up inside his hill top residence in Seoul, guarded by a small army of personal security.
