RCMP seize millions of dollars worth of equipment from alleged "chop shop" in Alberta
The discovery of what Alberta RCMP believe was a “chop shop” in Athabasca County being used to prepare stolen vehicles for resale was surprising because of “the sheer scale of this investigation,” a police official told reporters on Thursday. Staff Sgt. Mark Hall showed reporters some of the stolen goods in north-central Alberta, including two semi-trucks, six semi-trailers, off-road vehicles, holiday trailers and pieces of heavy equipment. Jasmine King reports.
