Former Queensland premier Steven Miles may have “reached his use by date” as the state’s Opposition Leader, reveals Courier Mail columnist and Sky News contributor Des Houghton. His remarks come after Queensland Labor’s credibility was thrown into question over the world’s largest hydro project proposed for the state’s north which was revealed to cost more than double its budgeted $12 billion. Premier David Crisafulli has scrapped the plan and labelled it a cover-up. “It doesn't look good and he (Miles) may very well have reached his use by date," Mr Houghton told Sky News Australia. "He might linger on there for a while. “He really was only caretaker-premier for eight months or so after the union movement kicked Annastacia Palaszczuk out.”
