Reasons to think BoC could cut rates in April, headwinds for mortgage market remain: Royce Mendes

Royce Mendes, managing director and head of macro strategy at Desjardins, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss Canada's housing market. Mendes says the only reason Canada's economy hasn't fell into a recession being population growth. However, he expects it to decrease later this year given lack of housing and Feds' measures. Furthermore, he adds slower population growth could show more economic cracks. He expects at least a mild recession in Canada.
