Record government funding for elite athletes announced

The Federal Government has announced record funding for Australia's high-performance athletes. Nearly half a billion dollars will be spent over the next two years preparing young sportsmen and women for Olympic glory. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said this is a 50 per cent increase on the previous government’s high-performance sports funding.
