Recovery continues in Hot Springs Village after EF-2 tornado; power largely restored

Last Thursday, a devastating EF-2 tornado tore through Hot Springs Village, toppling trees, damaging homes, and leaving thousands of residents without power. "It must have been a really powerful storm, because when these huge trees are uprooted you know that the power is incredible," said Laure Prince, a Hot Springs Village resident. Crews have been steadily clearing roads made impassable by fallen trees, removing debris from powerlines, and restoring power to thousands of residents in Hot Springs Village.
