Redefining Sudan’s future - Women joining hands with IGAD to Spearhead lasting peace

The Intergovernmental Authority on Development is bringing on board women across the region to broker lasting peace in Sudan. This move comes in the wake of increasing figures of displaced persons internally and externally with women and children affected more. This was emphasized by IGAD Executive Secretary Wokneh Gebeyehu in a speech read for him by IGAD Special Envoy to Sudan Lawrence Kobandi during the IGAD Women’s Forum in Nairobi Kenya.
