Rediscovering Peter Minshall’s “Hummingbird”

When Sherry Ann Guy was crowned the Junior Carnival Queen in 1974, it was not only her smile that captured the hearts of Trinidad and Tobago. Her costume, designed by mas man and carnival icon Peter Minshall, wowed crowds for its complex design and its ability to bring joy. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Peter Minshall's 'From The Land Of The Hummingbird', Castle Killarney exhibits his journey towards perfecting the beauty of the hummingbird. Matthew Chin reports.
