Regional power interconnection - Rusumo falls regional hydroelectric project nearing completion

The Nile Equatorial Subsidiary Action programme, the investment arm of the Nile basin Initiative, has made tremendous strides in facilitating resource sharing among the Nile basin countries. One of the major projects is the Rusumo hydro power project that is under joint development by the governments of Burundi, Rwanda and Tanzania.
