Remains of World War II hero from Little Rock finally laid to rest after 79 years missing in action

The remains of Second Lieutenant Kenyon Brindley have finally come home. Brindley, was a native of Little Rock. He was killed in action on Feb 24, 1944, at age 23, after the B-24J “Liberator,” on which he was serving, was hit by heavy anti-aircraft fire, while flying over Gotha, Germany. After decades without closure, Kenyon's only surviving brother, Joe Brindley, received word in September that his long-lost brother's remains had finally been identified.
