Remedial work at Grantley Adams Memorial Secondary nears completion
Remedial works and industrial cleaning to correct environmental issues at Grantley Adams Memorial Secondary School will be completed by tomorrow. That's according to Chairman of the Board George Griffith who says testing to ensure the environmental issues that led to the school being closed during the first week of the 2024-2025 school year, no longer exist. He tells CBC News testing is absolutely necessary to satisfy all involved that the school is ready to be reopened for the resumption of face-to-face classes. Mr. Griffith adds while the remedial work has been for an extended period, the Board is being guided by the recommendations of the professional remedial team. He says the Board's priority will always be the safety of students and staff.
