Emergency workers are searching for survivors on Mayotte after it was struck by Cyclone Chido, with officials warning that islanders are "starving" as food and water runs out. Winds reached above 124mph on the archipelago - France's poorest region, located nearly 5,000 miles from Paris in the Indian Ocean. Authorities have warned it could take days to count the number of people who have died.
