Residents in private estates help NEA keep tabs on neighbourhood cleanliness
Since launching a community auditor programme in 2020, the National Environment Agency (NEA), has been saving 3,000 man-hours a year. Under the programme, residents who live in some private estates help NEA spot-check cleaning routes that the agency oversees, including pavements, drains, roads and bus stops. These residents also keep an eye out for dengue clusters, rat burrows, flood prone areas and littering hotspots. CNA's Rachel Teng reports.
