Richard Marles planning Ukraine visit amid calls for embassy reopening

Defence Minister Richard Marles is readying a trip to Ukraine as the government looks to dismiss claims its support for the country is wavering. Labor members are reportedly growing increasingly frustrated at a refusal to reopen Australia's Ukraine Embassy in Kyiv. The Embassy was pre-emptively evacuated before Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The trip is yet to be announced and is still in its planning stage.
