‘Ridiculous’: Push for Australian citizenship test to be given in other languages

Former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce says the push to have an Australian citizenship test not in English is “ridiculous”. “Citizenship, to be a proper citizen of this country you need English, you need to participate,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “To have the citizenship test in a language other than English defeats the purpose, it is ridiculous.”
