US Studies Centre Director of Research Jared Mondschein has discussed Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, after the former president’s son, Chip Carter, confirmed the news of his father’s passing. “She was quite influential on him, and he famously said that it was the best decision he ever made in his whole life was to marry her,” he told Sky News Australia. “She was really critical and foundational to his political successes by many accounts.”
