Sky News political editor Andrew Clennell says some Australians may see Prime Minister Anthony Albanese purchasing an expensive mansion as “rubbing our noses in it”. “You’re rubbing our noses in it, and you are not the man of the people, the man representing the poor you said you were,” Mr Clennell said. “The question is, how far does it resonate, and does it result in a poll dip, does it become a Hawaii-type thing that Morrison had?”
