Russia bans ‘childfree propaganda’ in attempt to boost country’s birth rate

Authorities in Russia are trying to boost the country’s birth rate by banning what it calls “childfree propaganda”. Fewer than 600,000 births were registered in the first half of the year, which is the lowest rate since 1999. In a desperate attempt to increase Russia’s birthrate, the country passed a law banning “childfree propaganda”, which is supposedly the promotion of life without children. Anyone caught spreading this can be fined.
