Russia’s claims on four Ukraine regions a strategic move for more aggression: Analyst
Russian President Vladimir Putin says Russia will not halt the war until Kyiv withdraws its forces fully from four Ukraine provinces that Moscow partially controls and claims to have annexed. Kyiv denounced it as a demand for surrender and has refused to negotiate under such terms. Ariel Cohen, a nonresident senior fellow at think tank Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center, tells CNA’s Asia First the four regions will allow Russian troops to gain a strategic foothold on the Dnipro River for further aggression against Ukraine.
