Russia-Ukraine: Attack on Zaporizhzhia leaves at least 16 injured, officials say

At least 16 civilians were injured, including a 15-year-old boy, late on Sunday in Russia's air strikes on the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine officials said on Monday. Ukraine's Interior Ministry said that rescuers evacuated residents from several damaged apartment buildings. Resident Natalia Yankova said, "All windows in our flat were blown out, including the balcony window frame. One window has landed on my son, he’s under severe stress, he’s shaken, and he has cuts on his head from the shattered glass." Another resident said, “If I had been in this room I would have died, but I had just left the room." Both sides deny targeting civilians in their attacks, but thousands of civilians have been killed — the vast majority of them Ukrainians — in the war that Moscow launched with a full-scale invasion in February 2022.
