Safe Seas The Focus Of This Year’s Observance Of World Maritime Day

The Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority will join global counterparts this week in observing World Maritime Day. The United Nations (UN), through the International Maritime Organization created World Maritime Day to celebrate the international maritime industry’s contribution towards the world’s economy, especially in shipping. This year the focus is on safety and the theme is "Navigating the Future: Safety First!"
