Saharan dust prompts A&E visits
The plume of Saharan dust affecting the island has led to several asthmatics seeking treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital's Accident and Emergency Department in recent days. That's according to Communications Specialist Shane Sealy who tells CBC News the Hospital's medical experts have been managing the cases well. He adds that the Accident and Emergency team worked around the clock to ensure patients who visited to the Department on Christmas and Boxing Day, were seen in a timely manner.
