Saint Lucians Encouraged To Educate Themselves On Proposed Tax Law

Economist and retired chartered accountant, Richard Peterkin, has shed some more light on the origins of the Draft Tax Administration Procedures Act which has garnered public attention and concern over what some perceive as draconian clauses which could inhibit citizens ability to travel overseas and more. Whilst Peterkin expressed firmly that several of these clauses may not even make it to the House of Assembly, he urges Saint Lucians to be more informed about the legislation and to participate in the public consultations on it.
