SALARY DISPARITIES HINDERING AGRIC INNOVATION: DIRECTOR ASKS MIN. OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO INTERVENE.

The Director General of the National Agriculture Research Organization, Dr. Yona Baguma, has raised concerns over salary disparities among senior agricultural researchers, an issue he says is causing many to leave the organization for better-paying opportunities, jeopardizing critical research initiatives. Dr.Baguma was addressing a team of delegates from the ministry of public service led by the permanent secretary, who had gone to pay a curtsy visit to the institution.
