The landslide happened at 05:51 on Monday in Liangshui Village in the city of Zhaotong of southwest China's Yunnan Province. Preliminary investigations showed that villagers of 18 households were buried when the landslide occurred, leaving 47 people missing. At least eight people have been found dead so far.
