Former FBI special agent Phil Andrew discusses the response time of the US Secret Service after a would-be assassin was found waiting for former president Donald Trump on a Miami golf course. The man arrested in relation to Donald Trump’s second assassination attempt has been charged with two federal gun crimes. A court heard Ryan Routh was in the vicinity of the golf course for 12 hours before the Secret Service spotted the barrel of his gun poking out from the fence. “We [the FBI] always think of these incidents in the before - left of boom, during and after,” Mr Andrew told Sky News Australia. “It certainly looks like the during that they [Secret Service] responded incredibly quickly, effectively. “Then the after, in coordination with local law enforcement, they apprehended this person very quickly.”
