Premier Barbados Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has expanded its free initiative to curb juvenile crime by offering self-defence training to primary school students across Barbados. Recently visiting Milton Lynch Primary in Oistins, the all-male student body participated in the Safe School Programme. Since last year, head coach Don Whitefield and coach Felix Huggins have voluntarily trained nearly 2,000 students across more than a dozen schools in non-violent techniques that enable them to safely subdue an attacker without resorting to kicks or punches.
