Self-radicalised Singaporean youth detained under Internal Security Act: Shanmugam

A 17-year-old youth was arrested under the Internal Security Act just weeks before his plan to carry out a terror attack in Tampines. Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said on Friday (Oct 18) that the youth knew he would be intercepted by the authorities and "had made up his mind to die in the course of the attack because he wanted to become a martyr".
