Sembabule land wrangle - Residents accuse Bishop Senyonjo of illegal evictions

State Minister for Lands, Dr. Sam Mayanja, has taken decisive action in Sembabule District to address severe land disputes that have caused significant suffering among residents. During a visit to the district, Dr. Mayanja ordered the arrest of several individuals, including Benon Bulora, the Lugusulu NRM chairman, along with Kasande Joy, Bigets Magondo, and Bishop Senyonjo Christopher. They are all accused of torturing, evicting, and fraudulently obtaining land titles to displace residents from their legally allocated pieces of land.
