Sen. Kaine grills Hegseth about affair and sexual assault accusation

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) questioned if Pete Hegseth, Trump's pick to be defense secretary, will uphold the oath of office, if confirmed. During a confirmation hearing, Kaine focused on Hegseth’s character, bringing up his extra-marital affair with a Fox News producer that resulted in a baby. Kaine also raised that Hegseth has admitted to what he describes as a consensual encounter with a woman in California in October 2017, shortly after the birth of the child. That woman accused Hegseth of sexual assault. Hegseth repeatedly denied all allegations and cast doubt on their credibility, dismissing them as “anonymous.” #CNN #News
